NAOMI KO is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, actor, comedian, and cultural producer.
Naomi was born and raised in Minnesota to immigrant parents from South Korea, making her at once the most truculent and most passive person in any room. Her independent pilot presentation, Nice, was an official selection at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. She’s featured on The Mortified Guide on Netflix and had a television development deal at Warner Bros. She also played Sungmi in the award-winning feature film, Dear White People. Naomi has also won multiple grants and fellowships for her film, writing, acting, and theater work, and she is one of the founding members of FAWK (Funny Asian Women Kollective), a group that uses comedy to combat the invisibility and dehumanization of Asian women.
Naomi is currently in post-production for her short film, Sweet 18, is developing her feature film, and workshopping her new one woman show.
